STRATEGY GUIDE

Some tips and tricks for navigating the game!

CRISIS CITY - Chapter 1

ACT 1

Crisis City's level design is focused on platforming. The act distance is 100m and takes a fairly short time to complete. Make sure to collect as many rings as you can, as in the next two acts you will need them.

ACT 2

The Mach Speed Section is focused on quick reflexes. The running speed gets faster each time you hear this sound. Remember to run in a straight line and run as long as possible. If you fail to dodge the boxes, your distance is subtracted and you lose a ring. The wooden boxes are breakable, but the metal ones must be dodged. The act distance is 100m as well.

BOSS BATTLE

VS INFINITE

Infinite's attacks are fairly balanced, but has more ranged attacks. You can tell what attack he will be using by the sound he makes before making his move. But be careful! The speed he moves at will increase over time. Fail to hit him and you may be taking damage yourself!

WHITE ACROPOLIS - Chapter 2

ACT 2

Snowboard down the mountain to find Doctor Eggman's base! The level is slightly longer than that of Crisis City, so be sure to concentrate on your dodging and attacking skills. You can use your Warp skills to break through the snowballs but make sure to dodge the trees!

ACT 1

White Acropolis's level design is focused on platforming and opening passageways. If you hit a barrier make sure to find the button that opens the doorway. Collect some rings on the way to use during the next Boss Battle!

BOSS BATTLE

VS EGG-GENESIS

The Egg-Genesis is focused on ranged attacks, harnessing missiles and lasers. Your Warp Dash may be useful in dodging the lasers but the missiles not so much. You have to be on your toes and move quickly to avoid getting hit as less time is given between attacks. On the plus side, the Egg-Genesis is easy to hit due to its large size.

CRISIS CITY - Chapter 3

ACT 1

Platform your way through the "good future" of Crisis City. The distance is again longer than White Acropolis. Be sure to get rings and dodge the enemies in the level. If you hit an enemy, you will lose all your rings and may or may not fall into a bottomless pit. Use your burst hover sparingly, as you are vulnerable when you do so.

ACT 2

Run through the streets of Crisis City and dodge the flying taxis and barrels. Break the barrels using your fire attack to sometimes gain rings. The taxis are larger obstacles so it is necessary to maintain rings and keep your reflexes up for this slightly longer Mach Speed Section.

BOSS BATTLE

VS SHADOW SILVER

Shadow Silver predominantly uses ranged attacks. He is capable of throwing objects and even throwing you across the screen. His only melee attack is when he becomes a shadow and dives into the ground. Be careful! Who knows where he'll come back up. His projectiles can range from being very easy to dodge all the way to being probably impossible. Make sure to be on your toes and store up rings in order to win this boss battle!

SOLEANNA - Chapter 4

Welcome to Soleanna, the City of Water! Currently it's the headquarters of the Resistance. It functions as a hub world, which you can play various minigames in or advance in the story. The inhabitants of the hub world are random characters of mine, but they are only there to lead you to minigames. Canonically they're in a different dimension...

ACT 1

Also known as "Platforming Panic", you can control any one of the currently programmed characters and go as far as you can in 60 seconds through previous levels' designs. Press Z to switch characters and make sure to dodge the rogue robots in Soleanna. You can access this game by talking to "Mr. Splits" the four armed Silver the Hedgehog.

ACT 2

Also known as "Ring Rush", you again can use any character. But instead of dodging obstacles, you must go through the red rings. If you cannot, you will lose a ring. Sometimes a ring will show up. You can hit it with your targeting attack, or collect it by running into it. Try to get as many rings as possible without losing them all. You can access this game by talking to "Full Sawfish" the yellow and blue Blaze the Cat.

BOSS BATTLE

VS BATTLE SIMULATOR

The Battle Simulator is where you can battle previous Bosses. You may use any character and adjust your strategy based on what boss you are battling. But, expect it to be harder as the boss will have slightly more health than Shadow Silver fought in the previous Chapter. You can access this game by talking to "Professor Taillis" the cyborg Tails wearing a hat.

TROPICAL JUNGLE - Chapter 5

ACT 2

Make your way through the Jungle to get to Kingdom Valley. Make sure to dodge the boulders and keep your coordination up so you can click the mushrooms to occasionally get rings. This stage's distance is just as long as that of the Hubworld's minigames, but don't let that make you underestimate its difficulty.

ACT 1

The Ruins of Tropical Jungle are harder to navigate, although mostly long and flat, cannot be rushed through like the Jungle. Make sure to use Omega's Hover technique to make platforming easier. But be sure to look out for Eggman's robots, as if you are caught off guard, you can be sent all the way back to Act 2.

BOSS BATTLE

VS EGG-CERBERUS

Just as you are nearing Kingdom Valley, the Egg-Cerberus attacks! This boss has a different attacking style, as it jumps at high heights and relies mostly on melee attacks. Be sure to use ranged attacks to not risk getting too close to the robot. This boss cannot fly like the others, and spends most of the time on the ground or jumping. Make sure you are able to dodge it when if falls out of the sky!

KINGDOM VALLEY - Chapter 6

ACT 1

Continue through the ruins of the old castle of Soleanna to make your way to the Waterfalls. There are quite a few barriers in your way, so make sure to explore to find the buttons to deactivate them. Make sure to steer clear of Eggman's robots both on the ground and in the sky. Use your hover and Chaos Control sparingly.

ACT 2

Go into the Waterfalls alone as Shadow the Hedgehog to get inside the main structure of the castle. Dodge the falling rubble of the ruins and break through Eggman's Egg-Gunners which stand in your way. The pieces of rubble are large so make sure to have as many rings as possible and react as fast as you can. Chaos Control can be useful if things get too fast.

BOSS BATTLE

VS DOCTOR STARLINE

You've made it into the castle safe and sound, when you meet up with Doctor Starline. In order to get the Scepter of Darkness back, you must fight him. Starline is able to teleport so be sure to learn all his attacks and predict before he acts. Make sure to stay moving as his portals can track you, and he can warp around so fast that it seems he's in multiple places at once. Things can get crazy, but you know what they say... the more the merrier!
